ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The 1978-79 SOMECKA is a yearbook about the school year of the
students and faculty of South Mecklenburg High School. Because
such a large scope of material is involved, contributions from
persons other than the SOMECKA staff and advisors are an
important element to the success of the yearbook.
The students of Mr. Les Browne's first. second, and fifth period
photography classes are thanked for the ir availability to take
pictures when the SOMECKA photography staff was unable to
cover certain events. The student body in general is thanked for
the patience and availability to the SOMECKA staff for taking
pictures or writing copy.
Mr. Richardson is thanked for his encouragement and guidance,
and the English teachers are thanked for allowing time out from
their classes for students to be photographed. Also, Mr. Charles
Helms is thanked for providing the SOMECKA staff with a
computer list of students for making the index.
Outside contributors to the SOMECKA staff are very important
to the completeness of the yearbook. Mr. Wayne Wolfe of Herb
Eaton, Inc. is greatly appreciated for his guidance, patience, and
availability in assisting the SOMECKA staff throughout the year.
