Our 19 76 team, with co-captains Doreen Den–

mon and Doreen Hamarich is a rather young team

with 9 underclassmen and only 5 seniors. There

are only 6 returnees from our last year's team.

We had a good start winning both of our pre-sea–

son scrimmages (Against North and Central) and

our first two games, including a 48-39 victory

over STAC champions of last year--Vestal. That

game was highlighted by a 3 5 point (school rec–

ord) effort by starter Doreen Denmon. Our luck

started to dwindle as our team was struck by in–

juries and the flu and we found ourselves faced

with as few as eight healthy players. Our team

had a great deal of potential, with fine efforts on

the part of our young players as well as our re–

turnees. We look forward to an even better sea–

son next year.
