OHSan
staff meets
final March deadline
Working feverishly toward the deadline, editors
and staff members completed the book during the first
three weeks of larch. Oil Sans ordered pizza and sub–
marine sandwiches and cooked TV dinners in a petri
dish sterilizer as thev rushed to meet the 1arch 20,
deadline.
·
Planning sessions held during the summer
months got the book off to an early start. Picture sched–
ules , layouts, and picture taking occupied the fall and
winter months. Elizabeth Dihner attended theE PA
convention eptember 30-0ctober 1.
As the book neared completion staffmembers met
after school, Saturdays, and numerous evenings to
write copy, headlines, and captions; tag pictures; and
recopy layouts.
This year's staff continued the progressive trend
in yearbooks with individual teacher informals, new–
style division pages, a student life section, and a black
"ink" cover sketch.
With the completion of the book in March, the
editors settled down to a more relaxed pace, proof–
reading page proofs and making plans for a workshop
to acquaint next year's staff with the problems and
practices of the yearbook.
