Slow start, fast finish
attain tie for Jackets
Following a slow start, the Jacket baseball team
rebounded to gain a share of the Iroquois League title.
Poor fielding and wi ld pitching contributed to the first
losses.
After a one run victory over Frankfort and a six–
teen run defeat of Bainhrjdge-Cuilford, the team
started to live up to their early season potential. A
th irteen game winning streak carried the team to a
tie for the league crown wi th orwich.
The 1966 season was high lighted by the begin–
ning of play on the high school field and a second
place finish in the Section 3 tournament.
