Track And Tennis
As this yearbook goes to press, the track season is just
beginning. With many of the members of the city-title win–
ning cross country coming out for the track team, the out–
look for the coming season is bright. The team, directed by
Ed Magat and captained by Marvin Brooks, should get its
main competition from Gorton H.S. which hasn't lost a dual
track meet in over two years. Many of the veterans who
should provide their share of thrills and victories include
Brooks, Dan Serino, Dave Chin, Arthur Jackson, and Louis
Bousche.
According to Coach Magat, this year's team is, "one of
the best teams we've had in a while ... excellent distance
and good depth in the distance events. If some sophs come
along ..."
