The officers ror this year were:

Last spring the chapter won the district award ror the third time in succession.

Brian Sanborn placed first in the district public speaking contest. Arthur

Goodrich, Steven Griggs, Clayton Kennedy, James McDonald and Louis Paqqet placed

second in the district entertainment contest. Chester Beede and Clayton Kennedy

placed first in the district horseshoe pitching contest. The chapter also was

awarded a sweepstakes award for the highest score in all judging contests and

highest score in field crops.

At the state contest held at U.V.M . in

~ay,

individual awards were given to

Arthur Goodrich for top score in judging dairy cattle; to Brian Sanborn ror

first place in poultry judging, and to Peter Vermette for highest score in rield

crops judging and in farm management.

The chapter tied for first place with Thetford in the district parliamentary

procedure contest held at the fall district meeting at Thetrord.
