The
Student Asso iation plans the pro–
gram of student social acllvlttes, en–
genders a sptnt of " ·annth and
friendship among the studt'nts and
encourages an attitude of cooperation
between the faculty and students. It
also makes it possible for the ·students
themselves to assume the re ponsi–
bility for maintaining high moral
standards, for respecting the rights of
others and for promoting the general
welfare of the student body. Another
purpose of this organi7ation is to pro–
mote citizenship through cooperative
self-discipline. Students become vot–
ing members of the organi7ation
upon admission into the school of
nursing. The annual mectin'l" of the
Student Association "as held Sep–
tember 23, 1963. The highlight of
the annual m cting is the installa–
tion of the ne" ly elected officers of
the association.

arc the officers of the Student
Association: Irene DeFeo, treasurer; Su an Plainsky, sec–
retary; Rose Unger vice president and Eli7aheth Tergo,
president. Through their untiring efforts and with the aid
of the faculty advisers, Dolores Skripek and Mary L.
Ruane, the council strives to maintain the objccti,cs of
the school of nursing. The work of the officers is greatly
facilitated by the assistance and cooperation of the other
members of student council.
