As a senior, the nursing student has learned to as–
sume more re ponsibility. In addition she has ac–
quired greater depth in understanding the needs of
medical- urgical patients and in meeting these needs.
In
her role in the Outpatient Department, she be–
comes a teacher, directing the family to a healthier
tomorrow. With the vi iting nurse, she is able to ob–
serve the family and their home conditions. Night
nursing enables her to give comfort to her patient
through many long hours. Upon completion of her
psychiatric nm. ing he will ha,,e a better foundation
in meeting the psrchological needs of her patients. In
the senior year there is a greater detem1ination to ex–
tend her am1s and reach out to all who need her
help.
