A Full Schedule
Is Required Of
All Sophomores
During the day the average sophomore
attended a variety of classes. Some
high-ranking favorites were Biology,
Geometry. Driver's Education, Physical
Education, and English 10. The basic rule for
dissections in Biology was "when in doubt.
rip it out." In Geometry a sophomore
became educated in the differences
between such geometric figures as
rectangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids.
In Driver's Education he learned the
correct and safe ways to maneuver an
automobile. The fun part of the day
centered around his Physical Education
class where he participated in many sports
such as speedball, tennis, football, and
track. In his English class he learned how to
distinguish between gerunds and partici–
ples. Plays such as
Macbeth
and other
classical literature were also studied.
Aside from attending classes, the typical
sophomore enjoyed participating in junior
varsity athletic events and going to discos.
