Comeback
With three losses early in the season,
playoff hopes for the Sabres were
diminished almost to the point of
obscurity. Due to these losses, pride and
self-esteem within the school and the team
were dampened. However, as the season
progressed, the leadership, along with a
sense of pride, took on the proportions
necessary to produce a winning effort. The
pride keyed a second-half victory over the
highly charged Garinger Homecoming
cause and an astounding second-half come
back over Myers Park, whom the Sabres
have not defeated in varsity football in six
years.
