nango Valley Marching

Band had its most suc–

cessful year yet. The

band's outstanding per·

formances in competi·

tions as well as half-time

shows and

parades

proved once again that

the school and commu–

nity have much to be

proud of.

At the annual Festival

of Bands in Norwich,

C.V. won its first victory

in a field band competi–

tion. Other achievements

were first place at the

Columbus Day Tourna–

ment of Bands parade

competition.

The field of competi-

tion included eight top

area bands such as Ves–

tal but C.V. again proved

to be unbeatable. A fine

showing was also made

by our band at the New

York State Field Band

Championships in East

Syracuse. C.V. came in

fifth place, only four

points from the seco
