National Honor Society

The ational Honor Society is a distinguished body of students who have

been selected on the ba i of scholar hip, character, leader hip, citizenship,

and service. The induction ceremony takes place annually with membership

open to de erving juniors.

Being a member of the Honor Society is a meritorious position, but all

privileges carry re ponsibilities, and this society i no exception. Members

willingly put time and effort into various worthy causes, a major one being

a volunteer tutoring program at YHS.

Each individual member of the ational Honor Society represents the image

of American youth. In an age when newspaper columns, magazine articles,

and complete chapters of books are devoted to tho e of our generation who

have wronged their ociety, it i good to ee credit given to hard-working

young people who will be tomorrow's successes.
