Seniors respond to

NLU programs

With facilities so readily

available, several seniors have

taken advantage of the NLU

college prog-ams offered to

seniors prior to their

graduation from high school.

A "head start" on college

courses and an attempt to

"try

college life" are among

the most frequently given

responses for the early

admission prog-am, which

permits a senior with a 3.0 to

take 6 hours during the

summer between his junior

and senior year.

" I enrolled in the collegiatE:

prog-am so that I could get

160/Seniors

some first hand experience

about college life," said David

Clements.

As a senior with a 3.0 gpa,

three students selected to

participate in the concurrent

prog-am by attending WMHS

in the mornings and NLU in

the afternoon for maximum of

6 hours credit in the spring

semester.

·'I wanted to make sure

that I liked my major,"

explained one of the three,

Becky

Lloyd. Also attending

are Tina Aycock and Renee

Watkins.
