Summer days pull
students outdoors
In the good ol' summertime,
the outdoor is more than the
average student can resist.
Regardless of temperatures,
students could find an excuse
to be outside. Water sports
were perennial favorites, but
golf, frisbees, or tennis helped
pass away the idle hours and
give some form of exercise.
Not only the parks but also
the front lawn provided the
place necessary for summel'
activities.
Interact Clubs
funds purchase
of scoreboards
Keeping up with the Rebel
cagers at home was made
easier this year, thanks to
Interact Club. Through dances
and other projects, club
members raised more than
$1 ,000 in two years to
purchase two new
scoreboards, "the best
available," according to Coact
Jimmy Mitchell. The boards
were installed by school
maintenance workers.
Early arrivals
enjoy solitude
Makeup tests, club meetings, practices,
and jw.t a few moments for meditation,
or to finish up an assignment prompted
students to arrive early. A solitary study
place is cushioned by carpeting upstairs
as the wall lends support.
