Marching Band
On August 17, '65 band members greeted each other
with spirit. girls 'ied for majorette positions, and the mu–
sicians ran through old routines. Under the direction of ;\1r.
Samuel Bill. the \larching Band was
in
full swing.

and California Homecoming. At the tra–
ditional Halloween parade in Republic. the majorettes sport·
ed black and white bunn} costumes: these delighted the
crowd.
Thrilled b} the thought of appearing on television. ever).
·one aimed to make the final gridiron performance the
best. pectators at the Pittsburgh Steelers-Washington Red–
skins game' ie\H'd a flawless performance.
In December senior majorettes and musicians proudly
wore the long-awaited. class) band jackets. token of four
Years service.

ing "something green". the band stepped lively along the
avenues in Pittshurgh for the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Band members marched at the May Day Parade with
heavy hearts and with one thought in mind-"This is the
final performance of the Redstone R igh School Marching
Band."'
