With the new found freedom of a driver's I
license, Rebels experienced a rush ofadrena_I
line as they roared onto campus. Having the:
wheels and the way allowed students to seize1
new opportunities through their driving inl
and out of school. Sparkling in hot cherry:
red, millennium silver, or any of the various 1
1other colors, hundreds of automobiles of all1
shapes and sizes were each day packed into I
the Franklin High School parking lots. Both:
before and after school there were always the 1
certain few students that adopted the phi-l
losophy "cruise or lose" as they revved their I
engines, blared their music, and peeled out:
of the parking lot in order to become known I
among the Fast and the Furious. Whether!
students were proud or shameful of theirl
transportation to school, cars were a major:
part of upperclassmen's daily lives.
