Students found it harder than usual to get into the swing of
1
Homecoming. The typical October date had been moved forward
1
nearly a month earlier, and followed closely behind the events of
1
September 11. Despite the early date and national sentiment, the
1
week was still a success. "Do You Want a Rebelution?" was ready
1
for Friday night. The evening began with the annual Homecoming
1
Court, with winner Brittany Roberts leading the girls as queen. The
1
football team managed
to
pull in a breathtaking victory, adding to
1
the excitement
of
the evening. The team walked away the victors,
1
smashing the opposition with a score of 44-0.

" I loved getting down
on the dance floor."
-Hannah Klote
Saturday evening began early with girls primping and prep-
1
ping for the big night ahead. For them, the excitement began to build
1
up as all make-up, hair, and dresses finally came together. "My
1
favorite part is getting dressed up with the girls," said Stevee Ross.
1
Many students, like Kristen Evett, went to the dance in large groups
1
making the night into either a "guys" or "girls" night out. According
1
to
Kristen, "Having a girls night only, it's so much fun! Who needs
1
boys?" Whether you were with a date, or a group of friends, everyone
1
met together at the dance for a night full of surprises. First, Mr.
1
Campbell and FHS's beloved principal Dr. Miller both proved to be
1
quite impressive dancers. The students flocked to see them "break
I
it down." Next, the dance team distributed their "kisses," the prize
I
for purchasing a ticket in advance. The boys puckered up and
I
recieved nothing more than a little
chocolate
kiss. At eleven, the
I
music was turned off, but for many, the fun continued long into the
I
night with everyone attending the after party.
