Academics playedahugeroleinstudent life at Franklin
High School. Becau e GPAs were such an important factor to
students, much of their extra time was spent studying to
make the best po sible grade. Going above and beyond
expectations, numerous students enrolled in Honors and
Advanced Placement classes. Seniors worked especially hard
on academics to be ready for the adult world which was
waiting right around the corner. Juniors and sophomores
were concernedwith passingSATs, ACTs, PSATs, and TCAPs.
Fre hmen, adjusting to a new building and new teacher ,
were just trying to stay alive. After months oflate night tudy
ses ions, out of class readings, and mathematical equations,
it was time to give credit where credit was due.
