Gerri Thomas, captain of Raiders,

said she likes her position

"because I like to perform and

dance." Gerri loves performing

during halftime at football games,

feeling that performing in this

way has made her a closer part

of WMHS.

Co-captains for the Raiders

were Terri Brinson, Lauren Curry,

and Connie Perkins, Mrs. Julia

Becton was the sponsor.

At camp last summer, the

Raiders learned pom-pon dances

and one high kick dance. During

the camp the Raiders won nine

of eighteen ribbons. Gerri won

three awards: Most Outstanding

MIDDLE RIGHT: Semor Raiders provided

spirited entertainment at the Homecom–

ing Assembly. BOTTOM LEFT: High kicks

An average of 10-14 hours per

week of the Raiders time was

spent after school and on

weekends practicing dances and

kicks till perfection is at hand.

The dances that the Raiders

performed this year were high–

kicks, military, and a little

jau.
