After two disappointing second places,
the Lady Rebels celebrated the1r wmning
of the first d1strict track meet. West
Monroe racked up 93 points and qualified
at least one person, or team for each
event at the regional finals 1n Shreveport.
Although Lisa Owens remamed undefeat–
ed 1n the low hurdles, she was not the
only standout. Sharon Williams took the
220 1n 27 .2 seconds and ran on the
w1nn1ng 440 and 880 relay crews. Andy
Ward won the d1scus and Teresa Bell won
the 440 and ran on the winning m1le and
880 relays.
