in the first half, Rebels came

stormmg back in the second

half to take a

victory

over the Huntington Raiders.

At the end of the first quarter

of play, an unfortunate

acctdent occured. Bill Gary of

Huntington and Buddy Aulds

collided head-on during a

neck, and Buddy, with a

concussion, was unable to

play for the rest of the game.

Paced by the second-half

running of tailback David

Outley, Rebel's Western Pride

rolled over Ruston 17-0 .

Ruston 's offense couldn 't make

headway in the first half as

the Bearcats crossed the

midfield only once, as Michael

Jacobs prevented further threat

with two interceptions in the

first half and one in the fourth

stanza which ended the game.

Poor infield position was the

main factor in the Rebel's loss

to Green Oaks
