Rebel Cagers compile
1-6
Each team in district
3-AAAA had a rough time
with West Monroe at some
time or another this year,
even though the Rebs wound
up 1-6. As through the early
part of the season, close
games carried on to district.
First on the list was Carroll
who escaped with a 56-55
win on a shot at the buzzer.
Then came Neville who put in
a lay-up with three seconds
left in over-time. The Rebs
won one on a last second
shot for a 68-66 victory over
Bastrop. A rough one with
Ouachita ended the season in
a wild way as the Rebs made
up a 19-point deficit and took
the lead with about 40
seconds left in the game only
to fall 51-50.
The Rebel Cagers wound up
the season with a 1-6 record
in district play.
