The brightest stars of the Senior class shone
on the night of October 21. 1978. The Miss
South Pageant. sponsored by the Senior
Class. is an exciting annual event featuring
ten talented senior beauties.
The girls were judged in several areas
including the preliminary interview. a talent
routine. and an evening gown competition.
Each candidate was also required to give a
brief speech about her favorite pastime.
William Gill was the master of ceremonies
and the judging panel consisted of five
veteran contest judges. Special entertain–
ment was provided by the lettergirls. the
Sabre Singers. soloist John Stover, Carol
Dashner. and dancers Cecelia Bishop and
Kim Wylie.
The beautiful and talented Catherine
Williams was crowned "Miss South" 1978.
Her runners-up were laGena Lookabill and
Pam Young.
Anyone who attended the pageant could
truly say that these titles were well
deserved.
