The many and varied fads of 1978 and 1979
became an integral part of life around
South this year . The South women,
reknowned for their good looks and
fashion -consciousness. were especially
well-dressed this year. Not to be outdone.
the men followed the trend of snappy
collegiate fashion . Hats for all students
were the newest and most widespread
fashion trend.
Backgammon became the game of the year
as everyone participa ted with enthusiasm.
Disco music and disco dancing reached
the height of popularity as young and old
alike let their emotions and bodies flow
with the beat. Physical fitness became
important to everyone and jogging topped
the list this year as the best all around
exercise.
