Another Successful Season
It
seemed as though the Rebels had all that they needed to
repeat another great year. Then the summer came and bad news
struck the team. Freshman standout, Ashley Church, and sophomore
sensation, Jessica Bransford, would not be returning to the team. The
ladies took the news hard, but found ways to overcome the odds.
Using team bonding as a weapon, the girls used their friendships and
unique ways of creating teamwork to pull off another stellar season.
They brought the team back to the state finals for the third year, and
overcame much adversity to prove that they were still the best.
Though the team came up one game short, with a loss to Germantown
in the state finals, 2-1, they proved that they were still on top by
beating Brentwood three times, beating Centennial three times, and
coming together to pull off a record of 20-3. With the help of senior
leadership from Katie Jackson, Amanda Martin, Brittney Potts, and
Brittney Skipworth, the girls pulled off one of the most sensational
years in their history.
