Taking a Dive for the Team.
Take your marks ...BEEP! Splashing into the pool, the
Rebel swim team led the race towards victory as they chal–
lenged other schools to a match. Often traveling long distances
to compete, swimming on the team required long practices and
tough meets against schools throughout middle Tennessee. The
Rebels' practices took place at the local Recreation Center,
where many meets occured as well.
Each meet and practice took everything out of the swim–
mers but gave them a little something in return--a trip to the
state championships. Team members prepared all year for their
journey to the state meet and achieved all of their goals. Several
swimmers placed in the tourney, but all of the participants took
home some pride-- Rebel pride.
A Coaching Pro. Mrs. Hastings, the swim team coach,
