Students Are
Awarded at
Annual Banquet
This year's fall sports awards banquet was
held to recognize individual performance
among team players. Coaches, students,
and their parents ate dinner in the old
cafeteria and proceeded to the auditorium
for the Awards Program. The Awards
Program was held to honor students in
different fall sports. Several students
received awards in each sport for the Most
Improved Player and the Most Valuable
Player. The idea of awarding individuals for
outstanding talent and participation
boosted family and personal pride.
ABOVE, Patti Bastedo, captain of the girl's volleyball
team, was awarded Most Valuable Player for scoring
the most points during the season. BELOW, Mike
Samann, an exchange student from Germany ,
received the award for Most Valuable Back, Sean
Crowley earned the Most Improved soccer award by
his hard work and determination, and Bobby
Mitcheltree won the award for Most Valuable Player
because of his devotion and excellent ability to play
soccer.
