Good Season
This year's wrestling team finished third in
the division behind first place North
Mecklenburg and second place East
Mecklenburg. There was an abundance of
talent that was properly led by tri-captains
Tom Brangle, Jim Altman, and Pat Brown.
The record was spoiled only by defeats
from North Mecklenburg and East
Mecklenburg, and a disputed tie with West
Mecklenburg. In the year-end tournament
at East Mecklenburg, the team won over-all
and came away with three gold medals. one
silver medal, and three bronze medals. The
three gold medalists were Bob Brinton, Pat
Brown, and Mike Hurlbert.
