Girl's Volleyball Team
Wins Conference Tournament
The girl's volleyball team ended an
exceptionally winning season, with a good
solid record. During the regular season
they never lost to the same team twice,
and in the second round of the season, they
defeated Myers Park and Harding who
were the two top teams in the conference.
They quenched the conference tour–
nament by defeating Myers Park and
Harding.
This year's squad, lead by captain Patti
Bostedo and co-captains Marcy McCian–
han and Pandora Reed, did extremely well
considering many of the players had not
played on a volleyball team before. The
starters were Caren Champion, Marcy
McCianhan, Maria Hahn, Pandora Reed,
Tracy Williams and Patti Bostedo. Patti
Bostedo, the Most Valuable Player on the
ream, was named to the All Conference
Tearn and led the team in scoring with 150
points. Marcy McCianhan and Maria Hahn
were awarded the Most Improved Players.
