I.C.C. Promotes
Club Activities
The Inter-Club Council was designed to
promote harmonious relations between
clubs and organizations and to participate
in the orderly direct ions of school
activities. Executive Committee Vice
President, Amy Turner, served as
chairman. With the guidance of advisor
Sylvia Helms . Amy organized several
successful events.
The year began with Club Day. an event
aimed at involving more students in club
and school activities. In conjunction with
the Homecoming theme of "The Wild,
Wild West" the
I.C.C.
organized a Rodeo
Carnival. Held on Thursday of Spirit Week,
each club provided booths and entertain–
ment for the student body.
Other events included cleaning up the
campus for the North Carolina Assoc1at ion
of Student Councils Convention: and
decorating the mall for Christmas, and
International Week, an event which
displayed culture and costumes in the mall.
Through hard work and cooperation, the
Inter-Club Council succeeded in making
the
1978-1979
school year one of the most
successful ever.
