DECA Develops
Leadership
South Mecklenburg's chapter of the
Distributive Education Clubs of America
strove to develop skills necessary for
future leadersh ip in the field of business
and marketing. Members of the dub were
involved in social, civic, and leadership
activities in addition to their participation
in district. state, and national competitive
events.
led by Co-presidents Sandy Moore and
Sherri Ross, and advised by Mrs. Teal, Ms.
Acree, and Mr. Schultz, DECA had a busy
year of activities. Included were a picnic
early in the year , a dinner at the Open
Kitchen, DECA dynamics conventions, and
a successful fund-raising project of selling
pens. To conclude a prosperous year, DECA
club members participated in the annual
Southern leadership Conference.
