Spanish Customs
Interest Club
Members
The purpose of the Spanish Club was to
develop and create in its members an
interest in the culture . history. and
language of Spanish-speaking countries.
The club exhibited several special projects.
On November 16th, the Spanish Club
celebrated Foreign Language Day on which
students and teachers dressed up in outfits
representing the costumes of foreign
countries. The special Christmas program
was done in Mexican style with folk–
dancing. songs, breaking of the traditional
pinata, and Mexican food specialties. In
February the Mardi Gras was celebrated
with great spirit. With the help of advisor
Mrs. Pedersen, the Spanish Club upheld

Spanish spirit throughout the year, and was
enjoyed by everyone.
