FBlA Activities
Prove Successful
The 1978-79 Future Business leaders of
America strove to develop vocational and
office skills and to promote civil and
personal responsibility. led by President
Julie Yates and Advisors Mrs. Miriam Page,
Ms. Johnsie Williams, and Mrs. Hester
Cole, members were involved in many
projects throughout the year.
To begin the year in September, members
attended a district meeting of the FBlA in
South Stanley County. In October, the club
had a cake sale to raise money for sending
delegates to a Regional leadership
Conference in Orlando, Florida. FBlA
celebrated the Christmas season by going
caroling and having a Christmas party. In
February. members went to a district
contest in Albemarle County. and had four
district winners. A State leadership
Conference was attended by the FBlA in
April to conclude a successful year.
