The 1978-79 school year saw the beginning
of a new club at South. The Book Club. led
by advisor Dot Nahory and President Ester
Kim. created a new interest in reading
among the students at South. Through the
reading and discussion of various books,
the Book Club strove to make students
more aware of important literary works.
Mysteries. plays. novels. and fiction all
helped to introduce members to the
fascinating world of reading.
