An Interesting
Yearbook
The Somecka Staff strove to provide an
accurate record of the past year at South
Mecklenburg. Many students in the class
were new to the annual staff and had never
experienced the awesome tasks of
arranging picture schedules, drawing
layouts, and writing copy.
The year staff was then divided into
groups to begin the hard work necessary to
create an interesting annual. Advisor, Ms.
Kathleen Tawney. and editor, John Stipp.
supervised all phases of work. Ms. Tawney.
like many others, was also new to the
Somecka Staff.
Mr. Les Browne once again acted as the
Somecka Staff's photography advisor. In
addition to the regular Somecka photo–
graphers . Mr . Browne also received
assistance from his daily photography
classes . The help of those students
involved in taking pictures was greatly
appreciated by the entire Somecka Staff.
